" This is definitely one of the very best restaurant in Croydon, if not the best. Our sons treated us to a celebratory meal last summer and we have been hooked since. It is unusual to find a restaurant of such high quality outside Central London. Chef Malcolm John and his friendly and professional team deserve credit. Highly recommended. Visited February 2016 "

" I recently dined here as a surprise treat and was totally satisfied not only with the various choices on the menu but with the friendliness & attentiveness of the staff. We went mid week and the restaurant was not full, our first choice wasn't available but as we wanted fish it was recommended we have the fish dish of the day. With the ingredients and method of preparation being explained to us. It was superb. Excellent choice of wines and dessert menus. As one who travels frequently, it's an asset to have such an excellent restaurant locally where this quality of cuisine is available. Highly recommend and will be dining there in the future. " I have a special fondness for this place and previously knew it as Fish and Grill. The fish dishes are still the reason I visit. We had a relaxed lunch here on Saturday. The sea bass is my favourite. Exquisite. And the tuna tartare is delicious. A good selection of wines, good service. We will continue to visit. Visited October 2015 "

" We love this chef-owned restaurant. Sea-bass was so good we ended up talking to the neighbouring table about it. Well worth the trip - a destination restaurant. "

" The service was attentive yet relaxed; coats were taken and the drinks menu proffered. My partner was particularly impressed with the layout of the wine menu, which categorised the wines according to their body. "Read full review

" Service is friendly, well informed and attentive enough. I have been here more times in the last three months then anywhere else. Fabulous local restaurant that almost makes you wish you were local! "Read full review
" Brasserie Vacherin is a little piece of France right in the heart of Sutton. While it's not a restaurant diners will cross the capital for, it is a welcome addition to an area otherwise lacking in upmarket independent restaurants. Caterer will certainly be back. "
